Ok, after hibernating for a few days for Chinese New Year, time to look for food. I think this year CNY is the coolest in the history of my time in KL. I have been relaxing and sleeping a lot this CNY due to the nice weather. How good if everyday is like this. so cooling.

Anyway, back to the food. I have been passing by this cafe very frequent but never patron it before. Today, the cafe seems calling me. So, in I go. I have the Hor Fun Soup with kampung chicken. I would say the soup is nice and clear and best, less MSG. Chicken is tender and not extremely skinny like those old school kampung chicken.

This is soy bean with coconut sugar. Pretty nice but nothing to shout about. The Hor Fun is MYR 9.90 and drink MYR 4.50. All in MYR 15.85. Not exactly you can eat everyday but service is good and fast. The waiter even helps me with the soy sauce!!

Since CNY is around the corner, we did what most Chinese in Malaysia will do for CNY, Low Sang!!!

There were 27 of us, so we booked 3 tables. Of course the first dish was low sang. I managed to get 2 slices of fish, Salmon, I believe.

The prawns with two ways of cookings. The flurry thing you saw on the right was actually egg. I always like bite-size food as it is easy to consume and this prawns were just nice and best thing was not too heavily coated. Some places have big pieces of fried prawns but 75% were flour!

This was the fish head curry. To be honest, I am not a fan of fish head, be it curry or bi hun. Nothing much to eat from it anyway. But this dish was my favourite. Not because of the fish but the curry was just amazing. Tasted a little overcooked but somehow that made the dish more ummphh!!. I even drank the curry. Mama Mia.

This dessert was on the house. Green bean soup. Good to "deheat" whatever we had earlier on.

My evergreen dish. You can never go wrong with bean curb. The topping was shrimp although its looked like minced pork. Muah!.

I think I enjoyed the crackers more than the chicken, hehehehe.

Tong Po meat. This dish was calling me the moment it was served. 5 layers meat is the best meat to make tong po meat. Top part for the creamy (and guilty as well) texture and the lean part to complete the extravaganza experience. Not to forget the fried buns play an important part too. Forget about the guilt!

The most unsinful dish and obviously less popular as well.

In conjuction with Thaipusam and celebrating our new status as "high income society", we had dimsum at our usual haunt at Grand Imperial, Plaza Damas, Sri Hartamas, KL. Table 78, to be exact.

The entrance looks grand, thus the name, I reckon.

1st dish is the century egg with pork congee. I love congee and this is not too bad. Well, is just a normal bowl of congee, nothing to shout about.

The jelly fish is very springy and best is, its tastes wasabi. I guess is wasabi jelly fish. I like wasabi. In fact, the reason why I like sushi is coz you can dip it with wasabi + soy sauce.

Other dishes. Total is is MYR 224 or MYR32/pax. High income, higher expenses. We refrained from ordering shark fins after watching Gordon Ramsay. Seriously, those videos do have impact on me.

My verdict? Definately not cheap (so much for the high income bull shit). But service is good (for Malaysia's standard) and good place to catch up with friends. We spent 3 hours here for brunch!!!

In conjuction with Chinese New Year, A and W is having this "Double Fortune" burger. Basically is burger with 2 pieces of patty. Shiok. Taste much better than McDonald's prosperity burger and more value for money. Patty is nice to chew and the black pepper is just the right taste. You can choose between chicken and beef.

We also had the chicken, which is way nicer than KFC. I wonder why those sucky foods are so famous.

And, how can we forget the world-renowed waffle with ice-cream and chocolate topping. Snowy cold ice-cream melts on the piping hot waffle. "fei bi mo xing rong".

I have fond memory of this A and W outlet. When I was in high school, I was on a bus to this outlet. When the bus stopped at a bus stop, 1 particular girl sitting at the bench caught my attention. She was so mesmerising. I disturbed her a while and I thought, that was it. I was so wrong. 30 minutes later, when I walked in this outlet, there she was, sitting right in front of me. I was so dumbfolded!!!!

I used to work at Uptown few years ago. My job needed me to travel a lot, so I hardly had lunch there. So, I went back a moment ago and saw this shop, Lam Mee Ya. I had it before near Hilton, PJ.

I ordered the Charsiew lam mee set. At MYR 13.80++, was not exactly value for money but the serving is big and came with free side dish. The pork in it was not exactly charsiew but more like braised pork knuckle to me. Not an issue coz it was nice and decent size. The meat balls from the size dish were crunchy and very chewy, love it. The noodle was pretty normal. Overall was not something to shout about but I will return for more.

Ok, I am having this syndrome where I am sleepy but I can't sleep. So, i decided to blog. While waiting for Harry Potter to start at 12am, we decided to have some dessert at this small little cafe near the cinema.

She had the taufoo fah, while I had the mango ice something. The mango tasted like some shredded ice with 3% mango flavoring. And the taufoofah tasted like well, taufoofah.

Damage? Not sure

Location? In between GSC and bowling center at GSC, New Wing, 1 Utama.

ps; I doozed off during the movie. Hopefully I did not snoore too loud. Still wondering how I got talked into watching it!

After our disaster dinner here, we decided to have some dessert to make the mood better. Ice cream always does the trick. Well, in this case, is frozen yogurt. Nothing to shout about this yogurt. Cost MYR5.30/100 g.

There used to be a stall selling yogurt by a Korean Lady at ground floor. That was nice and afforable. Wonder why all good stuff don't last long?

I love this Mall as it is new and kinda spacious. Not too pack and best, has a cinema. I had dinner here a couple of days ago. Here is the review.

I still miss Thailand, I reckon. So we decided to have Thai food. big mistake.!!!

We had green curry chicken, tom yam seafood and omelette. The green curry is so GREEN that its looked like some coloring instead of food. The tom yam? well, where is my tom yam maggi? Not spicy and hot at all. Sweet and more for yuppies.

This tasted so different from Restaurant 59(Old) I had in Hatyai!! So dissapointed. Total is MYR50++. 10% discount for Cimb Card Holder.

Ok, I am in the Simple Life Challenge and since today is a public holiday, we went out to have some meal.

After our Food Foundry challenge, we moved on to our lunch in Puchong.

We had a roasted duck and pork platter. The pork was rather small pieces. I did not really taste any pork. The duck was rather not too bad. But a little salty. This platter was nothing to shout about.
But I like the congee. Real tasty and not too heavy on flavoring. Well, I m still not very thirsty after 2 hours. Smooth as well. And a glass of home-boiled soy bean milk to water down the calories.

Today is my no 1 fan's birthday and the whole family went to have a nice dinner last week. I wanted Farmland steamboat but no longer around in Bandar Puteri, Puchong. So, we settled for whatever we found. Miko Cafe, buffet hotpot. I did not realise it was buffet style until we actually sat down. The cafe was nicely decorated but the food was nothing to shout about. I sensed the whole place was run by Mainland Chinese. Good to see my clan is making big here. At MYR19.90++/pax, I could not expect too much.
The herbal soup was nice until they mixed it up with the other soup base, #$%IOOPP{{O(*&%$.
i am still a boy :P
ps: the birthday girl was 8 hours away from here. We were eating on behalf. Happy Birthday, my baby sis, >.<

Happy Raya, boys and girls.
Thanks to the much awaited break, I have decided to raid this "famous" duck noodle from Bidor, Perak. It had been raining cats and dogs since wee hours of the day. I drove slowly to enjoy the cleansed atmosphere and reached approximately 0930. The place already packed.

Ordered the famous dry duck noodle and wanton. Each wanton set come in 7. The food took pretty long to serve, 30 mins if I am not wrong. Did the food live up to its reputation? Well, it's nice. Soup is fresh and not so heavy. Noodle's texture is pretty chewable and alluring. The prawn wanton, well, I had better wanton before.

Overall, it was a decent meal and just don't set you expectation so high and you will be happier.

It was an excellent outing anyway. Nice weather, decent food and great friends, ahhhh. Life is good.

Ok, this blog is abandoned way too long due to my tight schdule. I always like to eat pork and pork noodles top the chart. But pork noodles at the kopitiam's stalls are just so generic.
I found this place to be a little fusion. Cross over between kopitiam and pub. Anyway, more important is they serve nice pork noodles. Look at the photo above, lots of ingredients. Pretty simple recipe, ya? Wait, when the food arrived, I can smell the porkness already, something I never had before and after having it, well, in layman's term, the pork noodle has pork taste. Best of all, I don't feel extra thirsty after it, means minimal MSG is used. I believe lots of pork-related items are used in preparing the soup, bravo. MYR17.90++, you can have 3 bowls outside. Quality or quantity, your choice.

But as all great food, nothing is perfect. I feel the intestines are not clean properly and the soup is a little bitter.

This is regular portion baby spareribs. You can have the large (MYR48++) or regular (MYR38++). Taste is a little like dried meat we have during CNY. Its takes 30 mins to prepare but worth the wait. Grill to perfection and perfect as snack.

Mao San Wong Durian.

By now, I reckon everybody knows what is Mao San Wong Durian. It is so nice that Stanley Ho sent his jet to Singapore to buy it. I am lucky enough to have 2. Far cry from Stanley's 88. But what he did not know is mine are 100% pesticide free. Mean you will not get heaty no matter how many you have, unless those "commercialised" durians. Since it is organic, the yield is approximately 30%, very low.

The first durian does not not very presentable with large seeds but is very sweet and creamy.

The second one looks nicer and yellow with smaller seeds. Taste is more bland. Quality or quantity? My choice is obvious. But both are awesome.

The process of opening the durians are really pain in ass. Much more challenging than those from stalls. Defend formation is very solid but my forward is much more formiable. Nothing can stop me, wakakakaka.

All these washed down by home-boiled barley, ahhh, life is good. Papaya is in the fridge.

Ok, need a break from CNY foodie. My friend was saying she wanted to come here. So, here we come.

She had this Water Chestnut Sweet Soup With Lotus Seed & Green Bean in Hong Kong Style(fwah, what a name!better be good). Well, this is very refreshing and the chestnut is crunchy as well. I don't usually have chestnut but this is good and just the right amount of glucose. How sweet. Apparently this is the signature dish. See below;

I had this Ice Blended Milk with Red Bean and Guilingao (I hope I got the name, right). I like the milk, a little coconutise and soy bean as well. Hardly any Guilingao.

My grandma always boil this. Nothing special from the shop.

This cafe's Chinese name is really sweet. Sugar stick bean which means sticking together like super glue. Nice place to hang out albeit a little noisy inside(that was why we were outside.)

Another ronda-ronda cari makan during CNY. While waiting for the movie marathon, we had an hour to be killed and since my sister is screaming to sit due to her new shoes, we headed to Theobroma Chocolate Lounge (all females love chocolate).

I had Snow White Frappe (not fap) and my sis had Prince of Iceland. Snow White Frappe is Belgian White Chocolate Frappe. I found it to be freshing and best of all, not too sweet and too strong. Prince of Iceland is Iced Chocolate. This is nice but has very strong chocolaty taste. Even for chocolate lovers like me. A little tone down will be perfect.

My bro has Snow White Mocha Frappe (Belgian White Mocha Frappe). As nice as Snow White Frappe. The Snow Whites are very nice and yummy, even my sis is willing to Barter trade for it.

Cheese and omelet set. Technically is baked beans with omelet(with cheese inside) plus grilled garlic bread. Guess you can make these yourself.

Chocolate pancake. This is self-explanatory. And also the calories. You have been warned!

Chicken pizza, well, my roti telur is nicer.

Overall the food is not too bad and recommended cafe to kill time with your loved one to the max. Service is slow, btw. But, these foods are sinful food!!!! I tell you.

Okok, another Low Sang dinner. I think Yee Sang is the most profitable cash cow during CNY.

While waiting, we had fried rice. Typical fried rice. Nothing fancy.

The reason why we are here. Low Sang. This is before, I dare not snap the after photo.

Soup with herbs, kinda refreshing. I though was complement but is our veggie. Must be due to stress. Sigh.

Pork belly with salted fish, ouch. My favourite. Meat is tender and not too strong or spicy.

White bean curd with fried onion and garlic plus soy sauce. Simple dish but extremely alluring. Courtesy of Shirley.

Coconut curry shrimps, their signature dish. Shrimps are of decent size and curry is rich and aromatic. Ouch.

Butter crabs, as usual I prefer the gravy than crabs, too much effort, too little reward. The gravy is nice and not too strong. Love it.

Fried mantao, a side dish for the crabs but we finished it with the shrimps.

What I like it here is the flavor is just right and not overdose. Price is surprisingly reasonable since is a day before eve. MYR35/pax.

This fried prawn wantons were seriously nice. Crispy and you can actually taste the prawns.

Soup base of Chinese herbs and wine, nice but too much ginger for my liking. I think all the wind in my tummy is gone by now.

Bamboo clams with special sauce, I was not sure what was ingredients of the sauce but for sure I never had anything like this before. The "mien see" on the clams can be very salty, eat with caution.

Another busy weekend with heaps of activities. One of them is cari-cari makan with bunch of "hardcore" buddies(3 tables, to be exact).

We went to this small little restaurant at Bentong(technically is in Bentong but Bt Tinggi is more appropriate), on the way to Genting. Make sure you know where to turn!

Since CNY is just 2 weeks away, Low Sang is inevitable. Another round of tossing.

1st dish is the paddy frog. I like the gravy. Chinese herbs with rice wine. Excellent with rice.

This is my favourite veggie, 4-heavenly kings.

Fish, Patin, I believe. Nice and fresh.

Bean curd stuffed with fish paste. And tantalising soup at well.

Sweet and sour prawns, yummy and the right size, 1 mouthful 1 prawn(excluding the head).

Pork knuckles. Very nice. Crispy but a little hard. Prefer if dissect before serving.

This restaurant is hidden right inside Bt Tinggi but no fear I'd got the GPS coordinate for you. The best part is can do a mini run and together-gather with friends. And the stall outside sells very sweet honey pineapple, must try!!

I have a confession to make. This is NOT going to be a very nice entry. This got to be 1 of the worst restaurant I ever been to.

I will keep it short and simple;

1. They got our order wrong and after a few "discussion" only admit their mistake;
2. The dishes take forever to arrive;
3. The food tastes so-so and very heavy with MSG;
4. Service is bad and
5. Expensive, MYR 34/pax!!

If not for the companion, I would have left before the food comes!

I have been to this shop many times but always slip of my mind to blog about it. So, this morning, die die must go and blog about it.

We ordered 3 bowls of pork noodles+ vermicelli. 1 dry, 2 soup. Sorry Suet, did not know you don't take noodle. As usual, I have dry. Actually, the taste and aroma of this noodle is not that great (still above par) but the ingredients are really a lot. Check out the pork lard.!!

Told you, really a lot but not cheap, MYR 5 for small. The last time I had was MYR 4.50 for big. Now you still beLIEve inflation rate is 5%? I like this shop not because the service is good(don't go on Sunday!!) but is among the best for Pork Noodles. The rest just...well, majority. And the Milk Ice Tea here is really nice. 1 more brownie point.

Grilled salmon, excellent fish. Grilled to perfection. You can choose between cod or salmon. Love it.

This is the main reason why we are here. Mayonnaise scallop in shell. Absolutely tasty and best with veggie. Creamy and yummy. And of course fattening.

Suddenly, Sushi tastes so bland, wakakakaka.

Eel rice cooked with stone bowl, nice with sauce but easy with it.

Spicy seafood soup with glass noodle. The soup is very very nice. All the seafood are raw, you have to cook it. Not bad, can do a little cooking. Prawns, crabs, salmon, scallops, etc. Awesome.

The trick is 1 teaspoon of wasabi and more shoyu and less sweet sauce, like 3:1.

All in is MYR 114++ for 2, now this is the unawesome part. Sigh.

Upon suggestion from Judy, we headed to have satay as lunch, d'oh.

It has been a long time since I last had satay. And I am not exactly a big fan of skewers. We had chicken and beef as the rest are not available, double d'oh. The chicken is a little dry, but the good thing is less oily. I won't say I enjoy it a lot and I had better 1 before. The beef, well, lets just say, a little extra effort is needed to enjoy it.

I always like congee. My favourite will be those really cook for a few hours like what my grandma usually do.

1 fine day, we went for this kopitiam for some nice congee. The congee here is Teochew style, more like soupy rice. You can actually see the grain. I had the lala and prawn congee. Taste wise is above par but a little salty probably due to the fried veggie. Generous amount of prawns. MYR15/ bowl.

After the dinner, we went on to have some dessert in SS2, PJ. I passed-by this shop a few times and I thought it was a Chinese Restaurant, never thought it was a dessert shop.

We ordered a few types of sago lolo (apparently is the specialty). The 1st is the ice cream lolo. It is, well, base lolo plus ice cream.

I had this honey dew lolo. It did taste like honey dew but I have a feeling is the chemical.

This mini egg tart is nice. Fresh from oven and bite-size. Bravo.

Hello all, Happy NY, absolutely love you. First dinner for 2010. After the "self-inflicted" wet shirt bash on NYE and some hanging- over/around sessions the next day, Ken suggested this PLC (peng, leng, cheng, literally means cheap, nice and cheerful) place in Puchong.

1st dish is soupy lala, mild gingerly taste. Not too bad.

Lime Steamed Tilapia. The gravy is excellent. Only MYR 9.90 but small portion.

Kam Heong Frog's leg. boleh lah.

Pork's intestines. Nice but quite salty if eat just like that.

how can you resist something like this!!

I am not a big fan of charsiew. Until I found this shop. The meat is crunchy and tender. Literally melt in your mouth. Skin is shiny red and fat dripping. A little fat is required for the texture.

The steamed chicken is on par if not better. Smooth and tender albeit a little oily.

I am very satisfied with the food although I can't say the same for the services. Food can be a bit salty. Judging from the crowd, I bet is better to sell charsiew than pills!!!

Price is a little pricy at MYR44++ for 3.

Another uni buddy of mine from Singapore is in town. I had not met him we graduated about 10 years ago. Good Ol' times.

And we headed to New Lala Chong. The new place is nicer than the old 1 in T3.

The bamboo clams were rather bad and not fresh. Huge different from last time.

Venison, one of my favourite food, fried with ginger, simple and nice. My way.

My favourite dish, Tau Foo Kang, or beancurb root. Excellent dish and taste like shark fins minus the cruelty. Consist of bean curb, prawns, eggs, bitter gourd,etc. If I say is shark fins, I bet everyone will believe. Still want to have shark fins soup?

Spicy and sour crabs. Not that fresh as well. Served with extremely tasty fried bun.

Mid-sized prawns, my favourite and fresh! Now we can have fresh seafood.

Buttered prawns. Bigger prawns but I still prefer the mid-sized prawns. Acceptable freshness.

Overall, I am not very satisfied anf guess the QC has dropped since they moved. But catching up with old friends seemed overcome it. Till next time, Matthew. Hey, you should make this an annual event.

My friend is the Organising Chairman for an event to raise funds for the disabled to buy assistive equipment in order for them to live independently. This convoy is jointly organised together with Beautiful Gates, Independent Living For the Disabled, Selangor and D to D Services and fully supported by Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat Malaysia. We will flag off at Berjaya Times Square and head towards the LRT @ Central Market for a trip to LRT @ KLCC. From KLCC, the convoy will travel back to Berjaya Times Square.

A Convoy of Disabled Persons from Times Square to KLCC

December 6th 2009

Society of Independent Living for Disabled Persons in collaboration with Beautiful Gate

Foundation for the Disabled and D to D Services are commemorating the United Nations International Day of Disabled Persons on the 6th December 2009. In conjunction with this global event, a convoy of persons with disabilities will be travelling from the Times Square to KLCC to highlight the needs of a much neglected section of our population,

the severely disabled persons. We hope to raise public awareness of the right of this group of disabled persons to be integrated into our community and to independent living so that our country can truly be called “One Malaysia”.

We believe that with appropriate assistive devices, adequate support systems and a barrier-free environment, severely disabled persons will also be able to pursue independent living. Many people have knowledge about assistive devices, the need for a barrier-free environment and are in close relationship with disabled persons but are not aware of the type of support system they need. Basically, severely disabled persons who want to integrate into the community and pursue independent living will require the services of a “personal assistant” to enable them to perform activities of daily living.

We are convinced and firmly believe that anyone who has the ability to think independently and the ability to make personal decisions regardless of the seriousness of one’s disability; he/she can pursue independent living in the community. Therefore, our government should adopt best practices from the many European countries and Japan to establish appropriate support systems for persons with severe disabilities and demonstrate a commitment to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities by introducing a scheme to compensate the cost of hiring a “personal assistant”.

Appropriate assistive devices have a direct impact on the quality of life and the pursuit

of independent living for those with severe disabilities. In order for them to live independently and make significant contribution to society, they must rely on powered wheelchairs. At present, the cost of the imported variety of powered wheelchairs is rather prohibitive costing more than RM10,000 per unit. This is certainly beyond the means of most persons with disabilities.

Recognizing this impediment, a group of persons with severe disabilities with more than 20 years of personal experience in the use of wheelchairs, successfully manufactured a local model of powered wheelchair. While this is comparable to the imported ones in terms of quality, spare parts are easily available and after sales service is reliable. The most important feature is of course that the cost of the local made powered wheelchair is priced at less than 30% or even more. Despite this service, many disabled persons still find it difficult to purchase one and therefore, we are appealing to the public for sponsor ship.

Of course, the most critical aspect of living a productive and independent life is having an accessible public transport system and the built environment. Without this, even the best assistive devise will remain an obstacle for disabled people. They will continue to be isolated in the four walls of their own homes and remain in a state of hopelessness for the rest of their lives.

The “One Malaysia” convoy of disabled persons on wheelchairs from Times Square to KLCC will highlight that even the severely disabled persons are first and foremost, Malaysian citizens who are part and parcel of the Malaysian society and should not be ignored in national development. We urge the government to make all public places, public buildings including educational establishments and the public transport system accessible to all including disabled persons as this is a fundamental right of all citizens.

Importance of Assistive Device

A suitable assistive device is very important in enabling a disabled person to pursue an independent life. For example, people who have disabilities need a motorized wheel chair to move around independently. This is the only way that can restore him/her with normal life and leading him/her to live with dignity. Unfortunately, most of the disabled people cannot afford to buy assistive devices which suit to their conditions.

Details of the OKU CONVOY

There will be approximately 100-150 participants comprising a mixture of "orang kurang upaya" ("OKU") and non OKU in the convoy. The participants will be separated into approximately 5-8 person per team.

Convoy Journey

The convoy will be flagged off at Berjaya Times Square, a landmark commercial are in Kuala Lumpur, and passess thru Jalan Pudu to reach the Putra LRT Station at Central Market. The convoy will then board the LRT train to head to KLCC as the next destination. A lunch break will be held in KLCC and the final route will start from KLCC back to Berjaya Times Square.

Mini Roadshow

Once the convoy begins from Berjaya Times Square, there will be a mini roadshow held at Berjaya Times Square. The mini roadshow comprises media coverage on the journey of the convoy, mini concert by artists, demonstration of wheel chair usage, various games and donation drive. The mini roadshow will end when the convoy comes back to Berjaya Times Square for a closing ceremony.

Closing Ceremony

Closing ceremony is to mark the closing of the event and there will continuity of singing by artists, dance performance by Beautiful Gates as well as an official closing speech by invited guess.

Ok, 2nd round of dinner before the @#$%*()(^&% HRC. 1st round is here. I always know Hokkien mee in Penang is different than in KL, but how different? Let's see.

Hokkien mee in Penang is known as prawn mee in KL. Not exactly identical but close to it. Funny thing is, you can't really see prawn in this prawn mee. More on pork and other stuff. The soup is made from prawn, thus the name. I tell you, this mee is really "ichibun". I never really like prawn mee but this thing changed my mind.

This is the side dish of pork's knuckles. Must have! and their mixture of garlic and vineger, wowow, can put Magellen 18 years to shame, hehehehe.

Conclusion is just go and eat!

Walau, this wantanmee really out of this world. A little different from KL but not too different(at least no tomato sauce!!!). The dumpling consisted of pork and prawn. KL mostly pork unless you specifically wanted prawn. The noodle was tender and the gravy was creamy(well, that thickish gravy) and came with pork fat!!! In fact I rate this higher than that CKT.

Even this fried oyster is nicer than this 1!!!

So, I was in Penang over the weekend. And of course I was savouring all the local street food (who in the right mind would wants to have hotel food!!).

Ok, I was dying from dehydration and was saved by this Ice Kachang. Well, I had better 1.

I always like finger food. Knowing that my angels ordered Lobak for me. I particularly like the golden brown color 1.

Ok, this was the main reason I was there, fried vermicelli or Char kway teow. The prawns were big. Its tasted better than most Char kway teow in KL, is above average, cost MYR6.50/plate and guess what, that was it. I can't see the reason for the 1 hour ++ waiting time (ok, I waited 30 mins) and no take away on weekend. Maybe just me.

This assam laksa was nice although I prefer the 1 in Malacca. The fish was chunky (Malacca was minced) and not too sour. Very tempting despite I am not a big fan of assam laksa.

I have been to this place twice in Sunway Pyramid. This place is based on the movie '"Forrest Gump". Damn, these guys are good at making money.

As this is a movie-based restaurant, everything here is like the movie, (I think, I have not watch the movie, don't laugh).

This place has a cute signage, like the 1 above. Stop Forrest Stop means paging for waiter. Run Forrest Run means the other way round. So, don't be so "sua ku" next time, ya.

As the name suggest, we had shrimps, or prawns in Malaysia. Just the right size, about the size of a 50c coin. The bucket is for you to put the shelf.

Spaghetti, probably my favourite Italian food.

AHHHHHH, This is my favourite, Americano ice-cream cake. Cream on top and ice-cream at the bottom. The best part is you don't feel too bloated after it. At least I don't.

Alright, after a long break, I am back. Hope you all still remember me. To celebrate Deepavali and my friend is back from Singapore, we head to this Chinese restaurant in Aman Suria.

The 1st dish is deep fried squids. Pretty normal but the sweet and hot chili sauce is tempting. But some1 asking for Maggi sauce. *fainted*.

This is 1 fierce looking fish. Initially is not too bad, but at the end when the sauce drys up, not a nice thing to eat.

This is my favourite. Pork's knuckle with gravy. Not too fat and tender. Very smooth although some parts area little hard. Very chewy and perfect with rice. Love the gravy!!

Potato leaves fried with garlic. Simple and nice, my way. Very soft and sweet.

This is the signature dish here. "Nai Yaw" crab. Butter crab or is it cheese crab. I am not a big fan of crab, the effort is just too much. But the gravy is thick, aromatic, mouth-watering and not too heavy. Perfect.

Sweet and sour crab. Love the gravy more than crab. I am too lazy to deshell it.

Overall I am satisfied here. One thing I noted is the gravy is always on the low side. MYR283 for 6, about MYR 48 each.

This place is highly recommended by some of my friends who had been there before. Is it that good? Let's find out. First, the restaurant is in the middle of a jungle and the access road is so horrible I can feel Shadow is cursing me. Second, the parking is really a nightmare, another curse by Shadow. Third, the place is so packed that I feel like going back if not for the great companion. Reminds me of this.

The kitchen at the entrance of the restaurant. Professionally dressed chefs.

Usual suspects. Waiting to be seated, the restaurant is very packed. Probably like the little pink mini bus we used to have.

Snails, grilled, simple and the right size

Telapia Steam Limau Thai Style, love the sauce. No mud smell despite being rear in a pond. Just nice. But while we were waiting to be seated, we caught some fish and very obvious the fish is not fit. You know when you catch a fish, it will fight for survival but the one here seems happy to die! Probably, they already know their fate on the dining table and don't bother fighting.

BBQ lamb and grilled fish. The lamb probably the best dish and the only reason that makes me regret if I went back initially. The fish is acceptable nice albeit a little salty.

Tomyam is cold and crabs are, well, taste like normal crabs.

The bill is MYR 601++ for 13 of us and each is MYR 46++. Maybe not my cup of tea or I prefer more urbanized place.

After watching Egg's Manipulation, we went for a talk cock session at Chatterbox. I would say is another HK-style-wannabe cafe. Not too crowded or noisy and NON - HALAL.

I had Simut Nai Cha (aka stocking milk tea) and I must say Old Town is nicer although smaller serving. About the same price, MYR 3.90++.

This Pork Chop Rice smells pretty nice and I particularly like the egg yolk untouched. The cafe is pretty much the same as other HK-style cafe in town (aka high class kopitiam).

I had hotpot at this cozy little corner in Summit, Subang. This restaurant just open for business not too long ago.

The environment is pretty much like fastfood restaurant and can be a little stuffy when crowded, I believe.

Probably the name is Baby Shark, most food on the menu is seafood-based and some fried-stuff (if available, we ordered a few choices of fried-stuff but half of it is not available). You can choose to have clear-soup (is called Tommy) together with spicy (Tom Yam). Nothing to shout about the food but the soup is really heavy with MSG.

Good place to hang out with friends (if not too crowded). Each person costs MYR 17.20 but I had better hotpot before. Halal.

Shanghai Mooncake, Kluang, Johore

I had a chance to taste this not-your-conventional-mooncake last week when my intern bought it from her hometown in Kluang. I was told this shop only opens during the 8th month in Chinese calender (mean is somewhere around September in Western calender) just for the mooncake festival. Thus, this is why the mooncake is so precious.

From outside, its looks like some Chinese wedding cake and not that appealing. But once you have a bite, the skin is soft and crispy. Felt like covered with a layer of vanilla icing. Normally people prefer to have thin skin but I assure you, in this case, you wish the whole mooncake is the skin!!. It's that NICE.

Inside is typical mooncake's ingredients but not too sweet and the salted egg yolk tasted mild as well. Guess is traditional dessert made for the modern society(health conscious).

I am sure I will not be able to get it anytime soon but if anyone from Kluang is nice enough to pack a box for me, I will be in Seventh Heaven. I did not ask for the price since is a gift but I, for sure, will pay a premium for it over the "traditional" mooncake.

One fine Friday's night, when most people are clubbing or dating, 2 lost souls decided to kill the boredom by having some snacks. Wanted to go Wendy's but closed. We were so sad coz suddenly craving for some real juicy burgers. I mean REAL burgers!!

So we headed to BBQ Chicken, Jaya One, PJ. The burger is of normal Malaysian standard. The patty is a little bland, not moist and overcooked. Sigh, I miss my bowl-size burger in OZ.

This is, well, kids' meal of 4 sausages, some chips and corns. Pathetic, ain't it?

Obviously, we failed in our quest for REAL burger. I live in a land where simple things seem complicated.

I had plan this dinner for 2 fooking weeks with my driving buddies. According to my mechanic, the food is very good and they serve you as they wish. Damn, I feel like VIP.

The nut is quite nice, soft and a little salty.

Standard shark fins soup. Did not realise is so nice with extra dose of vinegar.

Crispy duck. Is seriously nice with sour sauce. The skin is crispy and the meat is moist and tender.

This is my personal favourite. Assam snapper. The sauce is extremely indulging and the fish is fresh and no muddy smell. Guess is wild fish. Love it.

So fiber with salted egg to balance up all the calories.

This is the main reason why 15 of us went here. The big head prawn. The gravy is very tantalizing and the prawn is up to 1 foot long. Not the freshest dish of the day but still very good despite some bitterness probably due to burnt.

Closer look. I believe is kinda hard to get prawns of this size.

Pork with sesame seeds. With so many good food around made this dish a little bland.

This is my second personal favorite. Kung Po frog. As usual, gravy is very sweet and nice and of mid-thickness. The size of the frog is pretty big I reckon. Luckily they did not serve the head.

All these food made me realised gravy/sauce is very important in preparing chinese cuisine. In fact, I believe is more important than the main ingredient itself. So many ingredients are used in preparing the sauce made me wonder sky is the limit for these chefs' taste buds.

All for MYR 693.XX which works out to about MYR 46 each. Well spent. (Next week have to eat bread, I reckon). Parking is a nightmare here. Suggest you park at Wisma PGRM and pay MYR 3.00. Eating time is approximately 2.5 hours (they will "inform" you about it) and waiting time is 1 hour. Sound like buffet huh.

Hi all,

I am a coffee lover. Not a real hardcore but I love coffee, among others. I have always searching for a real nice cuppa of coffee. Coffee brews by barrister who knows what he/she is doing and not those for yuppies/lifestyle.

But due to my laziness, I just never start this project. I only emphasize on the coffee, not the cafe, environment, lifestyle, etc. Car is meant to be driven. Food is meant to be eaten. Anyway, to cut it short, I now announce Project finding REAL Coffee officially start NOW.

Coffee got to smell good. Very aromatic. The moment the smell hits your nose, you will fall in love;

What is the point of a cup of aromatic coffee if its tastes like diluted tea?;

Second, we ordered 4 types of fish and I am still trying to figure out the difference between them, ok lah, I am a bit slow.

Ok, a short entry. I had lunch at this little cozy cafe called Kheng Hiong Yuan at Ground Floor, Summit, Subang Jaya. This cafe is quite near to Subway.

I was attracted by their set lunch of Herbal Chicken Soup + rice and with out MSG at only MYR 5.90.

I like they garnish it with parsley, goes perfect with the soup. The taste is heavy with herbs and very fragrant. Taste a little like bak kut teh. .The soup comes with a drumstick and I felt thirsty after that. Well, can't ask too much for MYR 5.90, right. And I don't think you need GPS coordinate for the location.

Ok, this is an old entry of my quest for good and cheap food.

A few of us took the pain to drive 2 hours (including some mishap) to this place, Ocen Seafood Restaurant at Tanjung Sepat, Selangor.

Seafood next to the sea

This fried squid is crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. Slightly above par.

Prawn cooked with rice wine, not very inducing, probably not my cup of tea. But I like prawns of this size. Not to big nor small, sweet and mild taste of wine.

This is Taufoo Kang. It is like shark fin soup minus the fin. The texture is like diluted gravy, very nice. The ingredients mainly are bean curb, eggs, flour (for the gravy-like texture), meat, etc. Why still eat shark fin soup?

The oyster (ochien). The main reason we endured such torturous journey, wakakakaka. Nice? Let's just say, even if we order a few plates more, I guarantee there will be no leftover.

Lemon chicken. Luckily the taste is not as lemon as the name. Nothing special.

The crabs. Seriously, I am not a very big fan of crabs coz eating it is a very complicated process, unless someone is willing to peel for me. But this crab is nice coz the shell is soft (ain't softshell crabs). Easier to enjoy it.

Nam yee pai kuat. Nice but I had nicer 1 before. A little boney.

The fish, honestly, it tasted better than it looked.

For the contact, I was too hungry to ask for a name card and most of us don't know how to go there. If not for our Tanjung Sepat's resident, we won't be enjoying this feast. I have been to this restaurant a few times but this is my first time I blog about it. I went again last weekend and had some funny experience.

I ordered the XO sauce seafood fried rice plus egg. Decent amout of ingredient of prawns, crab sticks, eggs, etc for MYR19++. Egg was MYR2, and I had to reorder 2 times. Taste-wise was a bit spicy but kinda salty. Did not have the "inducement" smell. Probably some garlice can help.

We had Lemonade and Ice Tea. The Lemonade was really nice. Just the right sourness, MYR5.00 and teas was MYR4.00. The bill was MYR33++.

I was in Hong Kong for quite sometime a few years ago and this restaurant is like those "Cha Chan Teng" aka kopitiam in Malaysia. These foods are road food by HK standard but sell at a premium in Malaysia.

Now for the funny experience. When I asked for a business card (which I normally do for the contact), the waiter asked me why do I need it? I asked "Why do you have business card in the first place?"

I tell you, the Pau is so nice that we have to fight for it. (coz only left 5 to be shared among 12 starving adults). The Pau is fragant and soft. Skin is thin and just the right size, no dripping around. The pork is minced and a little spicy. Just mouth watering.

The shop is located at some shop lot in a village. Kinda hard to find. Why all the nice food are so difficult to reach?

After reading the recommendation from The Star, I headed to try this Prawn Mee with my family 1 fine morning. I ordered all-in-big prawn noodle (so sad they have no more spare ribs) including the intestine. Although the boss claimed is smelless, I still tasted some bitterness. At MYR 5.50 (MYR5.00 for small), the price is pretty standard

For MYR 5.50, you have 1 hard-boiled egg cut into 4, generous amount of intestine and slices of pork. The taste is pretty standard for prawn noodle and the soup is quite "kick". Not bad for MYR 5.50.

The place is very easy to find. From Sunway Pyramid on your left, go towards the roundabout and turn 12'o clock. Immediately after that, turn left and right into the smaller road (where all the BKT shops are). Go straight till the middle of the road and Unlimited is on your left. Enjoy..

Was craving for some snack and we went to Sushi King in Serdang. We ordered a few side dishes besides the main course.

My friend had Unagi set. The set came with 4 pieces of Unagi with rice and 1 bowl of Miso soup.

I had the curry pancake. It is rice blended together with egg with some curry sauce on it. The rice is a sticky like the Japanese rice (or they over-add water).

Is it me or is it so difficult to find decent ethnic food in KL? Without looking at the signboard, I thought I was having dim sum. All for MYR 49.20.

Had a teabreak with a friend of mine at pavilion a few hours ago. We went to The Loaf, Pavilion, KL since she suggested it.

We ordered 2 ice latte and 1 luxurious chocolate and 1 blue berry. The drinls tasted like ice chocolate. Probably you can make your own at home with a mixture of milo and cocoa. Rich in cocoa taste, nevertheless. The luxurious chocolate is nice. Not to heavy or creamy. Will taste better if chill. The blue berry is a mixture of sweet and sour. In this case, it's blue berry on top and cream at the bottom. Nice.

The ice latte is MYR12.20 for 2 and cake is MYR 2.90 for 1.

They serve is a cute box, very nice. Good place to catch up with friends.

The much awaited Krispy Kreme is here in Malaysia. I have heard so much about it and said to be the best donuts around. Boys, I am disappointed.

This is the basic version. Everyone says is too sweet. Yes, it is sweet, that is why best with coffee. Probably is cold, but I don't have the "melt-in-my-mouth" feeling like I had with J.Co's glazer. Maybe a 6 seconds in microwave will do the trick.

The assorted version but still can't beat Big Apple's durian. Out of this world, really.

I am back, ngai jorn loi lah!!!!!!! After missing for soooooooo longgggggggggg, I am finally back. After 1 whole day at Subang and Sunway, we decided to go to Lala Chong to feast ourselves with seafood with the SG boys.

The crabs. Sweet and sour. I guess the gravy is more popular that the crabs itself. The shell is soft. Can eat just like that. For 3, is RM 71

The fish, Siakap steamed Teochew style. As the crabs, gravy is nicer. Not too strong or sour. Really appertising.

Fried squid, slightly above par. Bite size.

Bamboo lala kung po style. The trick is to get the medium size. The taste is there. Goes well with rice.

My favourite kangkung cooked with belacan.

Mission acomplished, blurpped.

During the night's out at Reggae Bar at Jalan HS Lee (where you see more foreigners than locals, pretty much like Bangkok or HK), I sneaked out to savour my favourite food, hokkien mee.!! I went to the famous Hokkien mee stall at Hong Leong Bank at Petaling Street.

The noodle is pretty dry as you can see from the photo and.. well, does not taste like what made me falls in love with it initially. Ok lah, it's not nice.

The cantonese fry (ying yong) is pretty much the same as the hokkien mee (in term of taste).

Damn, what happen to all the "legendary" stalls!!! All from RM12.50 + tea. At least the tea ain't RM8.

Ok, here is one of those rare outings nowadays due to my insane workload. Headed to The Curve (my favourite hangout and cinema) for a movie and dinner. We went to Heaven(name of the Restaurant, dude. How I wish I were there, ahahha).

I ordered the Dragon Noodles, which was actually vermicelli with cubes of deboned chicken. Nice for lazy people like me. Chicken was bite-size. Chump, chump, chump.... Soup was nice but a little heavy on MSG for my liking. But the portion of the noodle was huge!! i did not expect it to be so BIG bowl and for RM 7.90, it was a steal. Even I have issue finishing it (which I finished, of course). Will definetly to go and have it again.

This is mango juice. Thirst-quenching and thick!

Heaven has live band in their premises. Pretty much same concept as Halo Cafe and Station 1. And the singers are HAWT!!!!!!!!!!!!

After a few hours of unproductivity, headed to Seremban to release tension (yah, spending time with my baby helps) and have lunch/dinner. We went to Hongkie Kopitiam at Jusco, Seremban 2, Seremban. Another upmarket cafe serving street food.

I ordered Pork baked with cheese rice. The cheese is not too heavy and the pork are chunky. Seriously, not much taste and fragrant.

This is Yam Coffee. Pretty unique if you ask me but lack of Yam taste. In fact, if I am not the one ordering, I won't know is Yam Coffee except some purplerish spinkles on top. Not too bad after all.

Cheese Pork Burger. The ingredients are buns, cheese and pork. Pretty simple and nice.

Dessert. Suck to max. No wonder they put the ice cream on it.

Almond with egg. Smell like cough syrup.

The good thing about this out is the attentive service. 1 brownie point. Bill is RM50++!!

Setelah berada 3 tahun di Israel kerana menjalani housemanship dibeberapa hospital disana, ada beberapa perkara yang menarik dapat saya perhatikan untuk dijadikan tesis ini, iaitu "Mengapa Yahudi Bijak?". Memang tidak dapat dinafikan ramai cendikiawan berbangsa Yahudi, dari segala bidang, Engineering, musik, saintis dan yang paling hebat ialah bidang perniagaan, dimana ia memang paling tersohor. Hampir 70% perniagaan di dunia dikuasai oleh kaum Yahudi, dari kosmetik, pakaian, pemakanan, senjata, perhotelan, perfileman diHollywood dan sebagainya.

Ketika tahun kedua, akhir bulan December 1980 dan sedang saya menghitung hari untuk pulang ke California saya terfikir apakah sebab nya kaum Yahudi begitu pintar? Kenapa tuhan memberi kelebihan kepada mereka? Apakah ini suatu kebetulan? Atau olah manusia sendiri? Adakah bijak boleh dijana? Seperti kilang pengeluaran?

Maka saya pon tergerak membuat tesis untuk Phd saya, disamping kebaikan untuk umat sejagat dan dapat hidup secara harmoni. Untuk pengetahuan anda tesis yang saya lakukan ini mengambil masa hampir lapan tahun, ini kerana untuk mengumpulkan data-data yang setepat mungkin.

Antara data-data yang saya kumpulkan ialah pemakanan, adat resam, ugama, persiapan awal untuk melahirkan zuriat dan sebagainya dan data data tadi saya cuba bandingkan dengan bangsa dan kaum kaum lain.

Marilah kita mulakan dengan persiapan awal melahirkan zuriat . Di Israel, setelah mengetahui yang sang ibu sedang mengandung, pertama kali saya perhatikan ialah, sang ibu akan sering menyanyi dan bermain piano dan si ibu dan bapa akan membeli buku metamatik dan menyelesaikan masalah metamatik bersama suami , saya sungguh hairan kerana teman saya yang mengandung sering membawa buku metamatik dan bertanya kepada saya beberapa soalan yang beliau tak dapat menyelesaikanya, oleh kerana saya memang minat tentang metamatik, tentu saja dengan senang saya bantu beliau. Saya bertanya kepada beliau, adakah ini untuk anak kamu?

Beliau menjawab, "ia, ini untuk anak saya yang masih didalam kandungan, saya sedang melatih otak beliau, semuga ia menjadi genius apabila dewasa kelak" Perkara ini membuat saya tertarik untuk mengikut perkembangan beliau seterusnya. Berbalik kepada metamatik tadi, tanpa merasa jenoh beliau membuat latihan metamatik sehingga beliau melahirkan anak.

Seperkara lagi yang saya perhatikan ialah pemakanan beliau, sejak awal mengandung beliau gemar sekali memakan kacang badam dan korma bersama susu , dan untuk tengah hari makan utama beliau ialah roti dan ikan tanpa kepala bersama salad yang digaul dengan badam dan berbagai jenis kekacang, menurut beliau daging ikan sungguh baik untuk perkembangan otak dan kepala ikan mengandungi kimia yang tidak baik yang dapat merosakkan pengembangan dan penumbuhan otak anak didalam kandungan. menurut beliau ini adalah adat orang orang yahudi ketika mengandung dan ianya menjadi semacam kewajipan untuk ibu ibu yang sedang mengandung mengambil pil minyak ikan.

Ketika saya diundang untuk makan malam bersama orang orang Yahudi, perkara pertama yang saya perhatikan ialah menu mereka.
Setiap undangan yg saya perhatikan ialah mereka gemar sekali memakan ikan (hanya isi atau fillet) dan biasanya daging tidak akan ada bersama dimeja jika ada ikan, menurut mereka , campuran daging dan ikan tak elok dimakan bersama . Salad dan kacang adalah suatu kemestian, terutama badam.
Seperkara yang pelik ialah mereka akan memakan buah buahan dahulu sebelum memakan hidangan utama . Jangan terperanjat jika anda diundang kerumah Yahudi anda akan dihidangkan buah buahan dahulu. Menurut mereka, dengan memakan hidangan kabohidrat (nasi atau roti) dahulu kemudian buah buahan, ini akan menyebabkan kita merasa ngantuk dan lemah dan payah untuk memahami pelajaran disekolah.

Di Israel, merokok adalah taboo, apabila anda diundang makan dirumah Yahudi, jangan sekali kali merokok, dan tanpa malu mereka akan menyuruh anda keluar dari rumah mereka dan merokok diluar rumah mereka . Menurut saintis di Universiti Israel, siasatan menunjukkan nikotin dapat merosakkan sel utama pada otak manusia dan akan melekat pada genes, ini bermakna keturunan perokok bakal membawa generasi yg cacat otak ( bodoh atau lembab). Suatu penemuan yg dahsyat ditemui oleh saintis yg mendalami bidang genes dan DNA. Para perokok harap ambil perhatian. (Ironi nya, pemilik pengeluar rokok terbesar adalah ...... tekalah sendiri..!)

Perhatian saya selanjutnya ialah melawati tadika mereka, Pemakanan anak anak tadi cukup dikawal, makanan awal ialah buah buahan bersama kacang badam, diikuti dengan menelan pil minyak ikan (code oil lever) Didalam pengamatan saya, kanak Yahudi sungguh bijak dan rata rata mereka memahami 3 bahasa iaitu Hebrew, Arab dan Inggeris dan sedari awal lagi mereka telah dilatih bermain piano dan violin, ini adalah suatu kewajipan. Menurut mereka bermain musik dan memahami nota notanya dapat meningkatkan lagi IQ kanak kanak dan sudah tentu bakal menjadikan budak itu bijak.

Ini menurut saintis Yahudi, gegaran musik dapat stimulate (semacam senaman untuk otak) maka itu terdapat ramai sekali genius musik terdiri dari kaum Yahudi.

Seterusnya ke darjah 1 hingga 6, anak anak Yahudi akan diajar metamatik berkonsepkan perniagaan dan pelajaran sains amatlah diberi keutamaan . Di dalam perhatian peribadi saya, perbandingan dengan anak anak di California, ianya jauh berbeza tentang IQ dan boleh saya katakan 6 tahun kebelakang!!!. Segala pelajaran akan dengan mudah di tangkap oleh anak Yahudi. Selain dari pelajaran tadi sukan juga menjadi kewajipan bagi mereka dan sukan yg diberi keutamaan ialah memanah, menembak dan berlari, menurut teman saya ini, memanah dan menembak dapat melatih otak mem fokus sesuatu perkara disamping mempermudahkan persiapan untuk perhidmatan negara.

Selanjutnya pemerhatian saya menuju ke sekolah tinggi (menengah) disini murid murid ditekan dengan pelajaran mata sains dan mereka digalakkan mencipta produk, segala projek mereka walaupon kadangkala kelihatannya lucu dan mengarut, tetap diteliti dengan serius apatah lagi ianya berupa senjata, perubatan dan engineering, idea itu akan dibawa ke institute tinggi di Politeknik dan Universiti.

Satu lagi yg di beri keutamaan ialah fakulti perniagaan. Saya sungguh terperanjat melihat mereka begitu agresif dan seriusnya mereka tentang perniagaan. Diakhir tahun diuniversiti, para penuntut dibidang niaga dikehendaki melakukan projek dan memperaktik kanya dan anda hanya akan lulus jika kumpulan anda(10 pelajar setiap kumpulan) dapat keuntungan sebanyak $US1juta! Anda terperanjat? Itulah kenyataan, dengan rangkaian seluruh dunia dan ditaja sepenuhnya oleh syarikat milik Yahudi, maka tidak hairanlah mereka dapat menguasai ½ perniagaan didunia! Siapakah yg mencipta design Levis yg terkini? Ianya dicipta di Universiti Israel oleh fakulti bisnes dan fesyen.

Pernahkah anda melihat cara orang Yahudi melakukan ibadah mereka? Salah satu caranya ialah dengan menggoyangkan kepala mereka, menurut mereka ini dapat mengaktifkan otak mereka dan menambahkan oksijan dikepala, banyak ugama lain di Timur Tengah, seperti Islam juga ada menyuruh umatnya menunduk atau menggoyangkan kepala, ini guna dapat mensimulasikan otak kita supaya bertambah aktif. Lihat orang orang Jepun, mereka sering menunduk nundukkan kepala dan ianya sebagai adat. Ramai orang orang Jepun yg pandai? Adakah ianya sebagai kebetulan? Kegemaran mereka ialah sushi (ikan mentah). Adakah ini kebetulan? Fikirkanlah!

Berpusat di New York, Dewan perniagaan Yahudi bersedia membantu mereka yg berminat untuk melakukan bisnes (sudah tentu untuk Yahudi sahaja) jika mereka ada idea yg bernas, jawatan kuasa akan memberi pinjaman tanpa faedah dan pentadbir dari jawatan kuasa tadi akan bekerjasama dengan anda untuk memastikan yg perniagaan mereka menurut landasan yg betul. Maka itu lahirlah Starbuck, Dell comptr, Cocacola, DKNY, Oracle, Perfileman di Hollywood, Levis, Dunkin Donut dan ada beratus kedai ternama dibawah naungan dewan perniagaan Yahudi di New York. Graduan Yahudi dari fakulti perubatan New York akan disarankan untuk mendaftar dipersatuan ini dan digalakkan memulakan klinik mereka sendiri dengan bantuan wang tanpa faedah, barulah saya tahu mengapa hospital di New York dan California sentiasa kekurangan doktor pakar.

Kesimpulanya, pada teori saya, melahirkan anak dan keturunan yg bijak boleh dilaksanakan dan tentunya bukan semalaman, ianya memerlukan masa, beberapa jenerasi mungkin? Persiapan awal adalah ketika sang ibu mengandung, galakkanlah siibu melakukan latihan metamatik yg mudah tetapi konsisten disamping mendengar musik klasik. Seterusnya ubahlah cara pemakanan, makanlah makanan yg elok dan berhasiat yg baik untuk otak, menghayati musik sejak kecil adalah baik sekali untuk penumbuhan otak kanak kanak, dengan bermain piano dan violin sudah tentu dapat melatih anak anak mencerdaskan otak mereka demikian juga sukan yg memerlukan konsetrasi yg tinggi, seperti memanah, bola keranjang, dart dan menembak.

Merokok menjanjikan jenerasi yg moron (goblok) dan sudah tentu genes bodoh akan mengikut ke jenerasi siperokok. Lawatan saya ke Singapore pada tahun 2005 amat memeranjatkan sekali, disini perokok seperti dianak tirikan dan begitu susah sekali untuk perokok dan anda tahu berapa harga sekotak rokok? US$ 7 !!! ini bersamaan perbelanjaan sehari untuk makan anda!! Saya puji sekali sikap pemerintah Singapore dan menkjubkan sekali!!! dan seperti Israel ianya begitu taboo dan cara pentadbiran dan segi pembelajaran mereka hampir serupa dengan Israel , maka itu saya lihat banyak institusi pelajaran mereka bertaraf dunia walaupon hakikat nya negeri Singapore hanyalah sebuah pulau sebesar Manhattan!!

Anda mungkin muskil, benarkah merokok dapat melahirkan jenerasi goblok, saya telah menemui beberapa bukti menyokong teori ini.
Lihat saja Indonesia, jika anda ke Jakarta, dimana saja anda berada, dari restoran, teater, kebun bunga hingga kemusium hidung anda akan segera terbau asap rokok! Dan harga rokok? Cuma US$ .70cts !!! dan hasilnya?
Dengan penduduknya berjumlah jutaan orang berapa banyak kah universiti terdapat disana? Hasil apakah yg dapat dibanggakan? Teknologi? Jauh sekali.
Adakah mereka dapat berbahasa selain dari bahasa mereka sendiri? Mengapa mereka begitu sukar sekali menguasai bahasa Inggeris? Ditangga berapakah kedudukan mereka di pertandingan metamatik sedunia? Adakah ini bukan akibat merokok? Anda fikirlah sendiri.

Di tesis saya ini, saya tidak akan menimbulkan soal ugama atau bangsa, adakah Yahudi itu zalim sehingga diusir dari semenjak zaman Paraoh hingga ke Hitler, bagi saya itu isu politik dan survival, yg ingin saya ketengahkan ialah , mampu kah kita dapat melahirkan jenerasi yg bijak seperti Yahudi? Jawabanya ialah mungkin dan tidak mustahil dan ianya memerlukan perubahan, dari segi pemakanan dan cara mendididik anak dan saya kira hanya memerlukan 3 jenerasi sahaja. Ini dapat saya lihat sendiri tentang cucu saya, ini setelah saya mengajar anak saya melalui program yg telah saya nyatakan diatas tadi, pada umur 9 tahun (cucu saya) dia dapat menulis esay sepanjang 5 mukasurat penuh. Had my favourite dessert after a nap at Borders. Sister was sulking, sigh. I had the Chocolate Chili, Tiramisu and Rums and Raisins. Cooll

The Chocolate Chili is Belgian Chocolate and 5% chili. The Chocolate is rich. Perfect for chocolate lovers! At first scoop, you will not taste the chili. The spiciness only come after is in your tummy. Kinda like wasabi. Anyway, not too spicy. Must try. And due to limited stock, you can't try this flavor.

The Rums and Raisins is refreshing and awaking. Its contains alcohol. Not too much but enough to make you stone, hehehehe. Unique. Tiramisu is pretty normal.

This is the coconut flavor.

The white color on the left is pretty nice, can't remember what flavor. The brown should be peanut butter.

Price is 16.90 for 3 scoops and located at LG, The Gardens.

This is some of my very old makan trips to Malacca. We stopped by this famous Yong Peng Fish Ball for lunch to try if is as good as its reputation.

Sadly, we were kinda disappointed. Food is on average or maybe they are famous for being moderate in taste. Not too heavy, I reckon.

This fish cake is nice. Crispy and yummy. Fresh from wok.

Was told this fish egg is nice, etc. but was yucky. Looked like more to clear stock. Rip off.

Overall experience is not too bad. Price is not too expensive. Maybe I enjoy the journey more than the destination.

We had a little birthday party at Kota Damansara a few weeks ago. Crime scene is Star Village. This place is beach concept. So, if you come in bikini, 50% off main course, etc AND if you come naked, 100% off for a week. We ordered a variety of steaks (most dishes here are western).

Okok, might not be fine cuisine for some. While our sultan is busy cutting his birthday cake, I am having a nice lunch in an equally nice restaurant.

This is nicely boned and sliced fish cube steamed with soy sauce. Like the fish we normally have in wedding dinner, just they did the hard job for you.

This is the western way of cooking fish (Salmon in this case). Salmon and crab wrapped in spring roll skin, fried to perfection, tossed with chicken floss and garnished with some fresh veggie. Excellent.

The shark fin soup with mushroom (1 piece), crab meat and dried scallops. Very different from the wedding dinners' soup. You can actually see the fin and taste it. But the unique feature of this dish is and have to add some bean sprouts and chili;

Thai and Chinese Cuisine at Ahan Thai, Bandar Puteri, Puchong.

I went to this Thai restaurant some time ago as I am a big fan of Thai cuisine.

I ordered this fried ginkgo. Wow, very hard to find this food as was told very hard to prepare it. The texture is a little like rice noodles but very chewy and springy. I like the gravy as well, kinda special. But this is more like Chinese food than Thai.

Tongyam fried rice, a little too mild for my liking. I guess is fusion food, between Thai and Chinese.

Coconut, can't beat the 1 I had in Bangkok, near the temple.

A few months back, a lovely family bought a poor chap for a nice dinner. The poor chap has nothing to return their kindness, just a blog entry dedicated to it. We went to Restoran Leong Ah in Puchong. This place is a typical Chinese restaurant, so we can leave out the ambient there(hey, food are meant to be eaten, right).

This cod is very nice. Or I should say, dish of the day. Meat is smooth and tender. Steamed to perfection to retain the flavor. The last time I had cod this nice was when I was in Kuala Terenganu in early 2000s.

This is fried bean curd with pork gravy. Goes well with rice. Crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. Gravy is not too thick nor dillute.

Taufukung. Look like shark fins' soup, taste like shark fins' soup but is not shark fins' soup. Soup is clear, can drink direct and full of protein as main ingredients are eggs and beancurd(soy beans).

Spare ribs in two types of cooking. I particularly like the upper 1(cooked with mayonnaise).

I think I have not had Loh Mien for the longest time I can remember. Probably a few years. Met up with an old buddy of mine to rant and we went to this Restaurant Wei Sun, Bandar Menjalara, Kepong.

This Loh Mien is a little special in a way that it does not have lots of ingredient. In fact, my home-cooked instant noodles have more things inside. But its tastes really nice. I quite enjoy it. I believe it's the chef who makes the food nice. Good ingredients are just bonus. Like anyone can drives a fast car but not everyone can drives a car FAST (yeah, not related, I know). I can see egg, ham(or was it) and noodles. The soup is not too creamy and flavoring is just nice. Not too heavy. Awesome.

This is their specialty dish, salted baked chicken. Average taste. Plus point for serving piping hot.

Some fiber.

This place is not the typical big fry stall. So the ambient is slightly better but at a price. Food is not cheap. The dinner is RM40++ for 2. Service is pretty fast.

Dim Sum at Kam Hin, Kuchai Entrepreneur’s Park, KL

I sort of had a small gathering with my high school's friends a few weeks ago at a dim sum shop near my house. That place is so crowded just like having morning tea in Hong Kong. I wonder if the food is as good.

The traditional dim sum we had. Nothing fancy, just like the old way.

I am not sure what is this called but it is nice even served cold!!

This is fried char siew pao. Kinda innovative. Should try it.

Ahhh, my favourite fried carrot/radish cake. Fried to perfection. Watch your heart after having it.

Mouth watering congee. Love it.

Spare ribs, star of the day but sad is kinda cold/unfresh.

Bread wrapping some meat in the middle. And is HOT, yummy.

Overall, I believe this restaurant is so crowded due to "ah, so many people, food must be heavenly good" mentality. Don't get me wrong, the food is above par but does not justify the crowd. Maybe just me. RM20 each.
