Finally, a nice big wok stall. We went to this restaurant after Streetking(very nice, must watch). THe hokkien mien (or what my family calls, black mee) is simply nice. Just like old time. I simply love hokkien mien. Next time , when I got rich, you probably see me having hokkien mien with my Lamborghini next to it. The noodle is firm with the right texture. A little too short, probably they cut it while cooking it.
the food that need no introductionThis saito fish cake is fresh, soft and crispy. And of course yummy. The source is a little dilute anyway.

This is yut kong hor (moon's noodle). It's basically rice noodles(kuay tiew) with egg on top. Nice presentation but a little too wet for my liking. Still prefer the hokkien mien.

Pork soup, clear and refreshing.

But then, all these nice foods come at a price, RM 68.30 to be exact. Not really cheap but worth every single penny. And, YOU HAVE TO WAIT LONG. Reminded me of the stall in Chow Kit when I was young.
The place is just behind Dewan Bahasa and Pustaka, along Jalan Loke Yew. Please call03-2144 7404 for more info. Really must try. One thing I notice about this place is they use flavoring mildly or not at all. You know, after some hawker food, we use feel very thirsty due to excessive use of sifu or ajinomoto. You won't feel it here. Thumb up!!!!
MH, you can start drooling now.

wah..looks delicious!! but the hokkien mee seems a bit wetter than it supposed to be. Well, it doesn't matter if you're eating mee, but if hokkien meehoon+ mee or mee hoon, then oni diff la. I still prefer the one in Danau Kota, the restaurant Ah Chay (If im not mistaken the name), but it doesn't have that much variety as this one.
Thanks for the introduction. Will take note of it and keep it in mind. You'll never know when I might come to visit it. X'P
wow, u r fast. yes, pls come
Quite decent hokkien mee but the fishcake is out of this world! The standards for the noodles have dropped somewhat. You can now get better hokkien mee in PJ Seapark & Paramount. Some of the oldies have moved there *hehehe*
darren, where are those places?
